The CMF INSTITUTE VIENNA has been working intensively with telemedicine since the mid-1990s. A wide variety of technical solutions have been applied and evaluated during complex transmission of operations in connection with interactive teleconsultations. Since the new Advanced Training Center opened, live operations have been performed in our own institute for teaching purposes.

Especially in dental implantology, computer-assisted navigation technology is already being routinely used. During implant planning, specialists from centers of excellence can be involved via teleconsultation over the internet. By means of navigation, the planning can be implemented with the utmost precision and reliability. The Camlog Guide System was developed in our institute in 2005 and 2006.
